1. User-Submitted Content
By uploading photographs or other media to lineagelines.com, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Ownership Warranty: You represent and warrant that you own the copyright to the submitted content or have obtained all necessary permissions and legal releases from the copyright owner and any individuals appearing in the media.
- Limited License Grant: You grant Lineage Lines Studio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and modify your submitted content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order (e.g., converting the image into line art).
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lineage Lines Studio against any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from a breach of these warranties or any third-party claims of copyright infringement related to your submission.
2. Studio-Generated Works
The output generated by our studio—including custom line-art conversions, digital PDFs, and physical book layouts—constitutes a derivative work involving manual artistic refinement.
- Studio Ownership: Lineage Lines Studio retains all intellectual property rights, including copyrights, in the specific artistic style, “look and feel,” and structural templates used to create the final product.
- Personal Use License: Upon full payment, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the final generated assets for personal, non-commercial purposes (e.g., printing for family, sharing on personal social media).
- Commercial Restriction: You may not resell, redistribute for profit, or use the generated line art for commercial branding or advertising without an explicit, written Commercial Licensing Agreement from us.
3. Copyright Infringement (DMCA)
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content on our site infringes upon your copyright, please submit a notification to hello@lineagelines.com containing:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The URL or specific location on our site where the material is located.
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
4. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse any order that contains material we suspect violates third-party intellectual property rights, including but not limited to professional photography, watermarked images, or celebrity likenesses used without authorization.
