Our step-by-step process is smooth and easy to follow, allowing you to quickly choose the perfect memory book without any added worry or frustration.
- Description: Five custom pages. The right starting point if you have a single milestone in mind — a portrait, a childhood home, a first car — and want to see what the process produces before committing to a larger volume.
- Core Features: High-contrast line art using the Subject Spotlight, Atmospheric Sketch, or Cherished Objects framework, depending on what each photograph contains.
- Description: Twelve custom pages, built for families who want to capture a life across time rather than a single moment.
- Core Features: Includes the Family Story Anchor — a written introductory page built from a brief history you provide — that names the people, places, and milestones central to your loved one’s life. It gives them their bearings before the coloring activity begins.
- Description: Twenty-five custom pages and a fully custom cover. The right choice when you want to preserve an entire lifetime — multiple family members, multiple decades, multiple places — in a single volume.
- Core Features: Maximum depth and coverage. Includes the Family Story Anchor.
Universal Core Features
- All volumes are printed on 80lb white matte paper with a heavy matte cardstock cover — no glossy surfaces that produce glare under indoor lighting, which matters for older eyes.
- Spiral or coil binding only. The book must lay completely flat during use, and the binding eliminates the hard spine edges that can catch or tear fragile skin.
- All memories are organized using the People, Places, and Things framework.
- Faces are isolated and background clutter removed using the Subject Spotlight technique.
- All Memory Anchor captions are set in 24pt bold sans-serif text, flush left — designed specifically for readability under low-vision conditions.
- Every image goes through a 3–5 business day manual quality review before the book goes to print. This is not automated — I personally verify that facial structure is preserved, background noise is removed, and the line art will function as a recognition anchor.
- A Color Guide Photo is placed on the facing page — a smaller, full-color copy of the original — to reduce decision fatigue and help your loved one orient to who or what they are coloring.
How-to-Use Instructions
- You have selected your bundle and completed checkout and are ready to access the secure upload portal.
- Upload your sharpest, highest-resolution family photos. Choose images with a single clear subject and natural lighting.
- Assign a category—People, Places, or Things—and write a factual caption of 10 words or less for each image.
- For Legacy and Story bundles, provide a brief history of your loved one — 200 words or less, covering key names, birth year, and three or four significant life milestones. This becomes the Family Story Anchor.
- If a photo doesn’t clear the manual quality review, you’ll be contacted to submit a replacement before production continues.
- When the book arrives, sit with your loved one. Read the Family Story Anchor and captions together first, then open the colored pencils and begin.
