I didn’t build Lineage Lines Studio because I’m a tech architect. I built it because I’m a son, a grandson, and a witness to what happens when someone you love starts slipping away. I am not a medical professional, therapist, or clinician. I am a retired professional, a veteran, a husband, a father, and a grandfather.
I lost my mom and younger brother three days apart in 2015. Steve suffered from a long battle with liver failure, and my mom’s decline lasted more than three years. Keeping my father present for my mother was, at times, a challenge. Years later, I still reflect on moments I wish I had handled differently, conversations I might have prolonged, stories I could have recorded, and simple shared activities that might have eased difficult days.
I know the specific, aching silence that happens when you sit across from someone you love and realize they are looking for a bridge back to you—but the photos on your phone are too small, too cluttered, and too noisy for them to cross.
You’ll notice I speak in two ways here. When I’m talking about family, memories, and what it feels like to watch someone you love struggle to connect — that’s the grandfather in me, the son who still wishes he had more time. But when I talk about the process, the quality checks, or how we build these tools, my old aviation systems background comes through strong. I spent my aviation career making sure complex systems worked reliably when it mattered most. I bring that same discipline and attention to detail to every coloring page we create. Both sides of me are real, and both are here to serve your family.
I’ve seen the frustration of generic senior activities that feel childish or impersonal. I’ve watched families lose the stories that define them because they didn’t have the right tool to pull those memories to the surface. Lineage Lines is that tool.
As Chief Steward, my promise to you is simple: We do not settle for good enough. We use high-contrast 24pt bold text anchors designed to improve readability for individuals experiencing cognitive or visual decline.
